FIFTY-SEVEN STUDENTS GRADUATE FROM WRIGHT FLIGHT: On March 11, 2011 the fifth-grade classes at Nags Head Elementary school assembled with their parents so that 57 students could be presented with their Wright Flight graduation certificates. Prior to the presentation, nine students read their essays, entitled "What Wright Flight Means to Me." Students who have not yet met their Wright Flight graduation requirements were also at the ceremony, and a number of them spoke about how they were determined to attain their individual goals and earn their graduation from the program in the near future. We extend our congratulations to all of our new graduates and remind those who have not yet met their goals to continue to work hard so that they too can earn graduation from the program. Remember, "Wright Flight does not give up on you unless you give up on Wright Flight."

Both of these women are world-renowned aviators and were being honored with a "Monument to a Century of Flight" medallion for their noteworthy accomplishments in aviation. The students also got to meet Mike Murray, the superintendent of the Cape Hatteras National Seashore Group.
